My name is Vincent N. Medina, I am a Journalism major at Cerritos College, and is the Community Editor for the college newspaper Talon Marks. I graduated from Norwalk High School in 2019 with a 3.5 gpa. I initially majored in engineering at Cerritos College, but I struggled with the mathematics of engineering. While I did switch majors to Journalism in spring 2020 semester, engineering taught me to think outside the box for solutions and strengthened his creativity. I worked for the City of Norwalk as a recreation leader I at the Norwalk Senior Center for two years. My experience there has helped give mean understanding of local government and community services. It was also during his time there that I began to become interested in LA County and local news. I took on the role as social media editor of Talon Marks newspaper in fall 2020, and kept the newspaper’s social media accounts up to date with content and stories. As I began to show more interest in events happening in LA County, I pursued my interests as Talon Marks’ Community Editor. I have covered Black Lives Matter protests, Trump rallies outside LA City Hall on Jan. 6, and I have kept the newspaper updated on the coronavirus pandemic in the county. While I have a passion for local news in LA County, I have ambitions to become a white house correspondent for a major news organization. I also wish to become a stronger photographer, taking inspirations from AP photographs of major events. I also writes for the Wesley Health Centers, a nonprofit organization that hired him to write stories on doctors, patients, and the history of the organization.

My topic of interest for this blog is Los Angeles County activities and events, which include protests, rallies, local politics, coronavirus pandemic and vaccines, and any disasters in the county area.
